At The Practice, we strive to get involved and give back to the community we call home. Here you’ll find more information about our efforts to end the stigma and bring awareness to the importance of mental health.
As proud therapists in the Flatwater network, we know the impact therapy can have on individuals and families during the midst of a cancer diagnosis. In conjunction with providing therapy to those affected, The Practice participates in various volunteer and fundraising opportunities throughout the year to raise money and awareness for this life-changing non-profit organization.
TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPISTS (TAMFT)
Here at The Practice, we believe in maintaining an integral position in our state association to ensure dedication and committment to the maintenance of MFTs licensure across Texas. TAMFT is a state association dedicated to the advancement and promotion of marriage and family therapy in Texas. Dr. Mathis Kennington serves as president of the TAMFT board and ensures that those involved are strong advocates and leaders for the over 1000 members practicing marriage and family therapy in Texas.
We work hard to bridge the gap between the community and their access to mental health services and support. From in-house supervision, to workshops, to conferences, to community partnerships, we bring awareness and change to the world around us.
If you would like to get involved or collaborate with us in any way, please feel welcome to reach out at firstname.lastname@example.org or take a look at our calendar for the next upcoming events!
